Tsimpoukas Village is a complex of stone-built independent maisonettes with nice interior design in a beautiful area of Nea Flogita of the western region of Halkidiki. All maisonettes have two floors with windows and patios and provide comfortable accommodation for groups of friends and families. Each one provides a double bed and a sofa that turns into two single beds, able to accommodate up to 4 guests. The complex is located 150 meters from the sea, in a quiet place next to the borders of Nea Plagia, providing equal distances between the two villages. Being built from stone, our rooms are cooler during the season of summer than other destinations. Nea Flogita

Nea Flogita, is a coastal village in Halkidiki, Greece, 52 km from Thessaloniki, 45km from the International Airport of Thessaloniki “Macedonia” and 6 km from Nea Moudania. The village, in the municipality of Nea Propontida, is built on a hill overlooking the Thermaikos Gulf. Most of the village is only a few minutes from the sea, and on a clear day, there is a wonderful view across the bay to Mount Olympus.

Flogita was founded in 1923, when refugees fleeing the Anatolian destruction in Cappadocia (in modern Turkey) assembled to build Nea Flogita.

The village has approximately 2000 permanent residents. This number increases hugely in the summer months when visitor numbers raise the population to 20,000.

Tourism

Nea Flogita is a popular tourist resort, particularly in the summer, and as a result facilities and amusements have increased to cater to the influx. Flogita is noted for its big sandy beach, roughly one kilometer long, and its paved promenade which is popular in the evenings for the customary “volta”, or walks. The sea is particularly warm. The seafloor is shallow, which has resulted in the popularity of marine sports in the village.

Along the seafront, there are many tavernas, fast foods shops, confectioners, beach bar cafes, and nightclubs. In the “off” season, Nea Flogita is very quiet.

Climate

The climate in Western Halkidiki is mild enough that even the wintry months allow some sunshine in the daytime. Summer is characterized by hot days and warm evenings.
